OPENINGS

FANG NYC is looking for a full-time contracted marketing assistant / studio manager who is genuinely interested and has the know-how in the fashion world from a marketing perspective, with an innate understanding of underground culture, and is passionate about what we do and wants to grow with us as a business.

1. Responsibilities

  • Coming up with marketing strategy and seasonal marketing plan with the creative director
  • Overseeing all native content creation, from creative narrative to production and post-production
  • Influencer and VIP relationship management
  • Email marketing management
  • Social media planning, management, and engagement
  • Helping draft marketing assets and materials such as press releases and awards submissions
  • Managing event and showroom responsibilities, including but not limited to fashion week and fashion show-related correspondence, special events such as pop-ups and parties, managing interns, shipping and receiving merchandise, sample loans, client visits, database upkeep, and Shopify management.

2. Qualifications

  • Located in New York, able to work in person during weekdays
  • Bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising, marketing, communications, photography, videography, or a related field
  • At least one year of work experience in the fashion industry in a role related to this position
  • Skilled in content creation (photo, video, editing) using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or CapCut
  • Familiar with social media analytics and performance tracking
  • Strong understanding of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

3. Expectations / Qualities

  • Having a strong point of view and aesthetic in fashion, and understanding and aligning with our visual language
  • Culturally aware and tapped into emerging trends, especially in queer and underground spaces
  • Fast learning and able to adapt to a fast-paced, small team environment
  • Proactive and self-starting, able to take initiative without constant direction
  • Collaborative but also able to execute independently
  • Solutions-oriented and able to handle challenges without getting overwhelmed
  • Genuine interest in building a brand, not just completing tasks

Compensation based on experience, with bonus and commission tied to performance.
